Ready and Waiting
The British Ministry of Defence announced
that seven Harrier’s Gr7 were deployed to
Afghanistan for a period of nine months.
The unit was assigned with
reconnaissance and ground support
missions together with ISAF coalition
members.
The Harriers from 3rd squadron, RAF
Cottesmore were based in Afghanistan at
Kandahar Airport.
