Ready and Waiting
The British ministry of defence announced
that seven Harrier’s Gr7 will be deployed to
Afghanistan for a period of nine months.
The unit is assigned with reconnaissance
and ground support missions together with
ISAF coalition members.
The Harriers from 3rd squadron, RAF
Cottesmore will be based in Afghanistan at
Kandahar Airport.
